Interior minister of Bosnia's Federation entity Ramo Isak spoke to N1 about the rising tensions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. His message to the citizens is clear: "There will be no war."

Isak also addressed the reports from certain media outlets suggesting that there would be gatherings in Srebrenica. Of course, this did not happen.

“The problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina is that someone is always announcing something, causing tensions. Instead of focusing on providing citizens with a means to live, politics is behind all this. They've diverted public attention from the real problems. Republika Srpska is in a crisis. The talk about war suits them the most. Instead of discussing how people have low salaries or how our youth is leaving for other countries, some politicians in both FBiH and RS prefer this narrative. Local elections are approaching, and Bosnia and Herzegovina is one state. Everyone must understand that. We are bound to live together for hundreds of years. It's pointless to raise tensions. I urge citizens to remain calm and not let anyone manipulate their emotions,” Isak said.

He believes that the police in Bosnia can handle all problems and protect citizens.

“I spoke with Sinisa Karan, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska. I asked him to ensure nothing happens to anyone in the RS. I can assure you that nothing will happen in the FBiH. Policemen must act professionally. The police in Bosnia and Herzegovina can handle all problems and protect all citizens. Once again, I urge citizens not to fall for political spins from politicians who have nothing else to offer,” Isak added.

He assured that Milorad Dodik would be safe in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“No one will attempt an assassination on Dodik in FBiH. Just follow the sequence of events. They tried to organize gatherings. I was the only one to immediately predict how many people would show up. It wasn't hundreds of thousands. Citizens must know that police across Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as beyond, collaborate. Everything else is just talk. Elections are coming, and everyone wants to create their voter base. We all make mistakes, but 99% of the time, the police do the right thing. We will continue to work and cooperate.”

He reiterated that he spoke with Karan just a few days ago about the attack on a returnee in Gacko.

“All measures were immediately taken. There is cooperation, and the suspect will be arrested. There is police cooperation, and we will discuss these matters. Everything is misrepresented. This benefits Dodik because he's losing his voter base. They don't have that kind of power. They try to create something and present it completely wrong to the public. Citizens of RS won't suffer any sanctions or bear the burden. Those responsible for genocide should be held accountable, including those who refuse to acknowledge it. I want to tell my friend Nenad Nesic that I am the original, and he is just a copy and nothing more. The original is the original. Ramo Isak is the original. Let him work in the interest of the state; it doesn't matter what he says or does,” Minister Isak said.

In his concluding remarks for N1, Isak stated that the biggest damage to the country comes from politicians who constantly talk about war.

“A sporadic incident can happen. There is coordination among political forces. The biggest damage to Bosnia and Herzegovina comes from politicians who talk about war and incidents. Many investors contact me, asking if the country is safe. I've explained everything to them. No one will invest in the RS and the FBiH if someone is constantly talking about war. There’s nothing to gain from war. They do it to undermine the state. Therefore, 90% of the politicians who have been in the scene for 30 years are billionaires; they just hide it. My family is wealthy, but it's from hard work, and taxes were paid to the state. This is publicly known. Why doesn't Dodik reveal his assets? I've stood against the criminal lobbies that don't like what I'm doing,” he stated, adding:

“The police must take every report seriously, and when we find out it's false, we’ve wasted a lot of money or manpower. We live in a country where every populist has power. Citizen safety is the priority. Citizens must respond strongly to these politicians who create tensions. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a state that will protect all its citizens. No one can be divided; there will be no war. If there is a war, the one who starts it will lose. Honest people will not allow anything to happen in this country.”
