Final preparations are underway, and the red carpet has been laid out for the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival that will kick off on Friday in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday evening.
Numerous participants in the festival and tourists continue arriving in Sarajevo for the biggest yearly event in the city. The festival will be opened with the premiere of the movie Kiss the Future.
“This is a great festival of film art, but also of meeting people, a festival of the film industry, where businesses are also created under pleasant circumstances and homely relations with guests. People plan for the future and joint projects here, this improves the film industry not only in our region, but in the whole world”, the programmer of the SFF competitive program Rada Sesic told N1.
At the 29th edition of SFF, more than 220 films from all over the world will be screened, including 49 film premieres from the Balkan region. The films will be screened at more than 30 locations in Sarajevo, and numerous screenings will also take place in Mostar and Tuzla.
This year's edition of SFF will last until August 18, when the Ukrainian electronic duo Artbat will perform at the closing ceremony in front of the Eternal Fire in downtown Sarajevo.
