The fire is burning in extremely inaccessible terrain for ground crews and is spreading continuously.
Firefighting vehicles cannot access the area, while firefighters and mountain rescue service members need at least three hours of hiking to reach the fire site.
Because of the complexity of the situation and the terrain's inaccessibility, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been asked to provide helicopter support.
The fire at this location has been active since September 12.
Four other fires were registered in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton over the past 24 hours. Among them, Mostar firefighters battled a fire at the Uborak landfill on Tuesday evening.
