The first quantities of the Russian "Sputnik V" vaccine against the coronavirus have arrived at the Sarajevo airport, Bosnia's Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) confirmed for N1, Monday.
The vaccines which are intended for the Republika Srpska entity arrived Sunday night and are currently at the Sarajevo airport.
N1 also learned that the vaccines will be sent to the BiH Drug Agency for checks and procedures. According to the ITA, the first shipment was only a small quantity.
Bosnia's Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik said a few days ago that some 100,000 vaccines from Russia would arrive in the RS, and that the vaccination process against Covid-19 should begin in February.
