Mostar is one of the most visited and most recognisable cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, often listed among top destinations in the world worth visiting. The unique architecture of Mostar is adorned by the 16th-century Old bridge as well as other details stemming from the rich history and culture of the city.

Travel writer Robert Dacesin, who made a video about Bosnia and Herzegovina which was named the best tourist film in the world, visited the pearl of Herzegovina region, revealing five things about Mostar to his followers on social networks.

“Did you know that the name of the river Neretva means God's gift and it is considered the coldest river in the world with an annual average temperature of about 7 degrees?,” he asked in the short video, showing some of the most beautiful corners of the city.

“Or that it is in Mostar that there is the only mosque in the world that has a river running under it?,” he continued, revealing that this is Hajj Kurt's Mosque, also known as Tabacica, with a branch of the river Radobolja running underneath it.

Dacesin went on to say that the small shops in the Old Town's Kujundziluk Street once used to be coloured in different colours as a sign of recognition.

Although the names of the stores were written there, many people did not know how to read at the time, so they used colours to distinguish them, he explained.
