Fmr RBiH Army commander gets 8 yrs for killing of 27 Croat civilians

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has sentenced Enver Buza, former commander of the Army of the then Republic of BiH, to eight years imprisonment for the killing of 27 Bosnian Croat civilians, including three children, in Uzdol in 1993.

The final verdict reduced the initial sentence of 12 years handed down by a lower court, the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, which follows war crimes trials, has reported.

According to Bosnian Croat data, members of the RBiH Army killed 41 Bosnian Croat civilians and soldiers in Uzdol, central Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 14 September 1993. The youngest victim was a boy of ten and the oldest a woman of 87.
