Camil Durakovic, the former mayor of Srebrenica, confirmed for N1 on Sunday he once again received threats, to which he added he no longer pays attention as they are just part of a series of regular threats. He did, however, point out he was saddened by the state of society in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Because of your last night's tarnishing of Serbs in the TV show, I can only tell you ‘long live Ratko Mladic’ and it's a pity they missed you,” the message that Durakovic received on Instagram read, which, as he said, referred to his guest appearances on the show on Face TV, where he found himself in a duel with the Republika Srpska (RS9 entity MP Nebojsa Vukanovic.

Durakovic said, posted this message on Twitter, not because someone would feel sorry for him, but to show the state of society in BiH, which, he adds, makes him quite sad.

“I didn’t even open that message because I receive a large number of them every day. I also posted it so one can see the reaction of the public after one participates in a dialogue debate and expresses their position. This is nothing foreign or something that has not happened before, there were even harsher threats. This message only states “the sadness of a citizen of Serb ethnicity that I was not killed in the genocide.’ So, it is only a wish because he says it is a pity that they missed me,” said Durakovic.

He noted that he sent an essential message during that show, that we must work on building peace and rejecting any kind of division, with an emphasis on strengthening the state of BiH.
