Camil Durakovic, the former head of Srebrenica Municipality, has announced he will run for the post of the President of Republika Srpska, Bosnia's Serb-majority entity, in the upcoming elections.
“Since I am not a member of any political party, I need 3,000 signatures of the citizens registered with the central list of voters in the Republika Srpska entity for this nomination,” he said adding that needs the signatures collected and submitted to the Central Election Commission by May 20.
Durakovic, who performed the duty of Srebrenica Municipality head from 2012 to 2016, invited all those with place of residence in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina who support his political work to contact him.
Bosnia's central electoral authority has called parliamentary and presidential ballot for October 2.
