French President Emmanuel Macron expressed condolences after Tuesday's tragic death of a Sarajevo journalist Arman Soldin in Ukraine.
Soldin, who was a journalist for Agence France-Presse (AFP), was killed Monday in a bombing near Bakhmut, Ukraine.
“An Agence France-Presse journalist, one of our compatriots, Arman Soldin, was killed in Ukraine. With courage, from the first hours of the conflict he was at the front to establish the facts. To inform us. We share the pain of his loved ones and all his colleagues,” Macron wrote on his official Twitter account.

Soldin has been in Ukraine since the first days of Russian aggression against that country. He recently shared his experience as a guest in the N1 programme. Ukraine was his first experience as a war reporter.
