EUFOR said the deployment demonstrates how quickly the mission can activate and deploy its reserve forces to increase its presence and operational capabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The arrival of the French troops is part of a broader process in which reserve forces from several partner countries are arriving and being integrated simultaneously via different routes.
Additional EUFOR reserve forces will continue to arrive in BiH by air, sea, road and rail in the coming days as part of Quick Response 2026, EUFOR said.
The exercise is intended to enable personnel from the 24 countries contributing to EUFOR, together with temporarily deployed reserve forces, to enhance interoperability, capabilities and operational readiness.
EUFOR said these capabilities enable the mission to continue supporting domestic institutions, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and law enforcement agencies in maintaining a safe and stable environment for the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
