After a quite disappointing start to the winter break on the mountains surrounding the Bosnian capital city of Sarajevo due to the lack of snow, this weekend has brought some joy to skiers and marked the beginning of a somewhat delayed winter season.
A thin layer of snow that covered the highest mountains around Sarajevo – Mt Bjelasnica and Mt Jahorina over the past days, accompanied with low air temperatures, made it possible for the ski resorts' staff to prepare the ski slopes for the first skiers this season.
N1 crew visited both mountains and prepared photos and footage of the idyllic, winter scenes.
