Gas network put into operation in Kiseljak

The project is important not only for Kiseljak but also for Central Bosnia Canton and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as it is part of the broader plan to expand the gas network in the Federation of BiH.

Under the applicable legal framework governing the gas market, BH-Gas is the operator of the transport system in the Federation of BiH and is responsible for operating, maintaining and further developing the natural gas transmission network, including expanding the network along the existing system and developing new interconnections.

The project is part of the expansion of the gas network along existing transmission pipelines, made possible by the construction of the 20-kilometre Visoko–Brnjaci gas pipeline in 2009. The project was fully financed by BH-Gas with the aim of supplying the municipalities of Kiseljak, Kreševo and Fojnica with natural gas.

The start of natural gas distribution in Zenica is also expected, with BH-Gas having provided the necessary prerequisites, while Zenicagas is responsible for developing the distribution network and supplying natural gas to end users.

Also significant are activities currently being carried out in the municipality of Travnik by investor UNIS Energetika as part of the project to connect the Travnik heating plant, following BH-Gas’s completion and securing of an operating permit for the 40-kilometre Zenica–Travnik transmission gas pipeline.

BH-Gas implements all its projects in coordination with the FBiH Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and the FBiH Government, which owns the company's capital.
