German citizen arrested in Sarajevo pursuant to INTERPOL Red Notice for attempted murder

“Acting on an international diffusion notice issued at the request of the judicial authorities of NCB INTERPOL Wiesbaden, Federal Republic of Germany, police officers from the Operational Investigation Team FAST, in collaboration with officials from the Service for Foreigners Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, detained an individual. The person is sought for criminal prosecution related to the offense of attempted murder with premeditation, involving inflicting bodily harm through dangerous actions under German criminal law, which carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment,” stated SIPA.

The apprehended individual was located after several days of active search efforts and cooperation with relevant authorities in the Federal Republic of Germany, facilitated by information exchange and collaboration with the Service for Foreigners Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and partner agencies within the country.

“Said individual has been lawfully handed over to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further jurisdiction,” SIPA announced
