Annalena Baerbock arrived in Sarajevo on Monday evening for an official visit, where she first met with the members of the State tripartite Presidency.

Ahead of the visit, Baerbock said that the Western Balkans is an integral part of Europe and emphasised the geopolitical necessity to support the region's six countries on the way to the European Union with all the power, particularly in the light of “Russian brutal imperialism.”

Speaking of Bosnia's integration path, she stressed that the country is at a “decisive crossroads” in the accession process.
Baerbock will meet Bosnia's foreign minister Elmedin Konakovic on Tuesday.
