Bosnia and Herzegovina's Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic met on Thursday in Sarajevo with Germany's State Minister for Europe and Climate, Anna Lührmann, to discuss the current political situation and its impact on the economy and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Konakovic welcomed Minister Lührmann and outlined the political tools available to Bosnia and Herzegovina to continue its chosen path toward prosperity for all citizens.

Minister Lührmann expressed Germany's unwavering support for Bosnia's sovereignty and integrity. She condemned recent negative political actions as harmful to the country's constitutional framework, economy, and environment for youth and citizens.

She voiced hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina would soon appoint a chief negotiator and advance its Growth Plan agenda. Lührmann wished the country success in overcoming challenges and fostering a positive environment for economic growth and improved living conditions.

Ahead of her visit, Minister Lührmann had emphasized that attacks on BiH's constitutional order were unacceptable. She reiterated Germany's commitment, alongside EU partners, to take further individual measures against those responsible.
