Greece strongly supports Bosnia and Herzegovina's candidate status for the membership in the European Union, President Katerina Sakellaropoulou told her Bosnian counterpart Zeljka Cvijanovic during the meeting in Athens on Monday.

Bosnia Presidency Chair Cvijanovic has arrived in Athens for a working visit, where she discussed bilateral relations between the two countries as well as strengthening of regional cooperation with President of Greece.

The two officials also talked about the process of Bosnia's EU integration and granting of candidate status for the country, which Greece strongly supports.

On this occasion, Cvijanovic invited the President of Greece for an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressing hope that the friendly relations of the two countries will be further improved.
