Greek Ambassador Dimitrios Papandreou handed over the Greek Government’s donation to BiH of 120,000 AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine doses, on Wednesday.

The donation was handed over in the presence of the BiH Civil Affairs Minister, Ankica Gudeljevic, and the Assistant Minister of Health, Dusan Kojic. The donation is a supplement to the financial assistance for three clinical centres in Bosnia (Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja Luka) in the total amount of $130,000 allocated immediately after the visit of Greek Foreign Minister Nikolaos Dendias in March 2021, as a sign of solidarity in our common struggle against the pandemic.

Greece has always attached great importance to the local community and therefore focused on the post-Dayton recovery of the health sector in BiH by financially helping reconstruct the three main hospitals in the country (Sarajevo, Mostar, East Sarajevo).
