Helez: Delivery of first armored personnel carrier 'KIRPI II' in March 2025

The primary focus of the meeting was the procurement and delivery of the KIRPI II MRAP vehicles, produced by BMC. This initiative aims to enhance the operational capacity and modernise the equipment of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The BiH Defence Ministry underscored the significance of this acquisition in strengthening the nation's defence capabilities.

BMC representatives showcased an extensive portfolio of products manufactured by the company, reaffirming their commitment to prioritising Bosnia for the delivery of all contracted equipment.

Minister Helez highlighted the importance of this collaboration as a testament to the strong bilateral ties between Bosnia and Turkey. He expressed satisfaction with BMC's openness to cooperate with local defence industry firms, particularly in the maintenance of the procured equipment. Such cooperation could position Bosnia as a regional hub for the support and servicing of BMC products.

Helez also extended gratitude to the Republic of Turkey for its consistent support and successful partnership. He emphasised that this cooperation aligns with the strategic objectives of strengthening the capacity of the Armed Forces of BiH and advancing the security of the country's citizens.

The meeting was attended by Major General Mirsad Ahmic, Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH for Resources; Brigadier Murat Kul, Military Attache of the Republic of Turkey to BiH; and a BMC delegation comprising CEO Lutfi Balık, Deputy CEO Mehmet Altınhan, and Director of International Business Development Metin Olcay.
