Talentis International Construction Investments Kft. from Hungary became the new owner of the Lukavac Cement Plant, Fena news agency reported on Tuesday. The acquisition process, which lasted for several months, officially ended last week and all conditions in the purchase agreement were successfully met.
The Lukavac Cement Plant was founded in 1974 and it will celebrate its 50th anniversary of operations in 2024.
Since 2001 it has been developing and becoming a recognizable brand, thanks to one of the most successful privatizations in BiH.
Large investments in modern technologies over the past 20 years have improved its production capacities, but also realized several projects of socio-economic importance contributing to the development of the city of Lukavac, the Tuzla Canton and Bosnia as a whole, the company stated.
“The Lukavac Cement Plant as a BiH leader in cement production, which also achieved enviable results during 2023, will continue to act per its planned business strategy, with a special focus on innovative development and even better product positioning both on the domestic and foreign markets,” the Plant said.
The Plant is also known for the use of alternative fuels in its production process, meets all the high EU standards and the change in the ownership structure only opens up additional opportunities for its further successful operation and development following the highest production standards.
