Particular focus was dedicated to the implementation of the Automated Border Control gates project, a fundamental initiative for modernizing airport border control procedures. The deployment of automated border gates utilizes advanced biometric technologies to facilitate secure, rapid, and streamlined passenger processing.

Selimovic noted that the Automated Border Control gates project has secured backing from the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressing optimism that the technical expertise and support provided by IDDEEA will generate substantial advantages for domestic citizens and all travelers utilizing Sarajevo International Airport.
