Total indirect tax revenues gathered during the first nine months of 2026 reached 9 billion and 567 million marks (approx. €4.89 billion). This represents an increase of 561 million marks (approx. €287 million) or 6.23 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2025, when revenues totalled 9 billion and 6 million marks (approx. €4.61 billion).

During the nine-month period, the ITA executed VAT refunds to taxpayers entitled to statutory returns amounting to 1 billion and 633 million marks (approx. €835 million). This figure includes 857,077.55 marks (approx. €438,200) refunded to citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina on their first real estate purchases.

Net collected revenues distributed to beneficiaries, comprising the state level, the entities, and Brcko District, amounted to 7 billion and 934 million marks (approx. €4.06 billion) between January and September 2026. This reflects a 7.6 percent increase compared to the funds allocated during the same period in 2025.

State institutions received 759 million marks (approx. €388 million) to fund their operations over the nine months. The remaining collected revenues were allocated to the lower levels of government: the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received 4 billion and 412 million marks (approx. €2.26 billion) from the Single Account, Republika Srpska received 2 billion and 469 million marks (approx. €1.26 billion), and Brcko District received 248 million marks (approx. €127 million).

In addition to these allocations, distributions were made based on the special toll of 0.25 marks for motorways and road construction. Under this mechanism, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 185 million marks (approx. €95 million), Republika Srpska received 122 million marks (approx. €62 million), and Brcko District received 6 million KM (approx. €3 million). The remaining balance represents a reserve held in the dedicated toll account.
