The International Labor Day will be celebrated for two days (May 1 and 2), the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of Bosnia's Federation (FBiH) entity announced Thursday. This is determined by the Law on Holidays.

”Given that Labor Day 2024 falls on a Wednesday, we inform the citizens that the non-working days in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2, 2024. Accordingly, employers, institutions, administrative bodies and other legal entities will not be open during the holidays,” FBiH Labor Minister Adnan Delic's office announced.

On this occasion, the FBiH Ministry congratulated Labor Day to all the workers.

”This holiday is an opportunity to emphasize the importance of humans as the most important resource and to remind ourselves that the greatest value in the labor market is a quality workforce. We call on employers to respect workers’ rights guaranteed by the Labor Law and to ensure a safe and fair working environment for all employees,” the Ministry said.
