Israeli Ambassador Galit Peleg discusses Israel-BiH relations, Gaza war in farewell interview with N1
Galit Peleg, Israel’s ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania, used her farewell visit to Sarajevo and hold her final interview in office with N1 television. There she spoke about the war in Gaza, defended Israel’s conduct during the conflict and placed sole responsibility for civilian casualties in the strip on the Palestinian militant group Hamas. She also announced the opening of an Israeli Chamber of Commerce in Banja Luka, while declining to comment on the interests of Republika Srpska entity in the planned cooperation.
Ambassador Peleg, whose diplomatic mandate ends in late September, appeared as a guest on the morning television programme “Novi dan.” She said she had come to Sarajevo to “say goodbye to colleagues and friends” and was scheduled to attend the opening of the State of Israel Chamber of Commerce in Republika Srpska in Banja Luka. During the interview, Peleg discussed Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, the humanitarian situation in the enclave and other related topics.
