Kiseljak shooting suspect arrested following police manhunt

The man suspected of launching a fatal gun attack in Kiseljak this morning has been apprehended following a police manhunt, authorities have confirmed to N1.

The incident took place before 8 am in the settlement of Jehovac, where the suspect opened fire on two female members of his immediate family. Unofficial reports indicate that the suspect shot and killed his mother-in-law and wounded his wife.
Central Bosnia Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson Muamer Karadza confirmed that the suspect had been successfully located and detained.
According to official details provided to N1, the Kiseljak Police Station received an anonymous telephone report at 7:55 am regarding the discharge of firearms in Jehovac. Officers dispatched to the scene established that a local man, identified as M.P., born in 1972, had used a firearm against two immediate family members. One victim, identified as L.R., born in 1947, was killed. The second victim, V.P., born in 1971, sustained severe injuries and was transferred to the Clinical Centre of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS).
Officers from the Specialist Support Unit of the Central Bosnia Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs, assisted by personnel from the Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA), tracked down and arrested the perpetrator. Following his arrest, the suspect was also transported to KCUS.
The Sector of Criminal Police, under the supervision of the on-duty prosecutor from the Travnik Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, is currently conducting an on-scene investigation alongside other initial operational measures. Local authorities stated that the public will be updated in a timely manner as further actions are taken by the Central Bosnia Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs and its partner law enforcement agencies.
