The Chairman of BiH’s tripartite Presidency, Zeljko Komsic, and the UK’s Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach, stressed the importance of BiH reducing its dependence on Russian gas by implementing the "Southern Interconnection" project.
The two met at the Munich Security Conference and discussed the remaining reforms necessary for BiH to start membership talks with the EU, regional challenges and ways to prevent negative Russian influence in regard to Euro-Atlantic integrations in the region.
They also stressed the importance of investing in the security and defense structures of Bosnia and Herzegovina and noted the contribution and continuous support of the United Kingdom to the country.
