Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency member Zeljko Komsic, extended his condolences to the President of the United States of America Joe Biden and the Lieberman family on the occasion of the death of former US Senator Joe Lieberman, a sincere and great friend of BiH.

”It is with great sadness that I received the news of the death of former US Senator Joe Lieberman, a true friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina. His dedication to peace and justice in the most difficult moments for Bosnia and Herzegovina was priceless, leaving a lasting mark on our region. His strong opposition to the arms embargo, then imposed on our country, helped Bosnia and Herzegovina to resist aggression and to defend its freedom, sovereignty and integrity. His courageous support in the fight against injustice and his persistence in advocating for just solutions left an indelible mark in the hearts of many and on the peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

May his legacies, such as the Law on the Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the resolution on the genocide committed against the Bosniaks in Srebrenica, for the adoption of which he advocated tirelessly, be an inspiration for future generations in the fight for justice and reconciliation. I extend my sincere condolences to your Excellency, his family, friends and everyone who appreciated him,” Komsic wrote in a condolence telegram sent to US President Joe Biden and the family of the deceased former US Senator Joe Lieberman, the BiH Presidency announced.
