Speaking at the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Army of the Republic of BiH in Mostar, Croat Presidency member Zeljko Komsic said Thursday that the world would not have allowed the Army to achieve the ultimate victory during the 1992-1995 war in the country.
Komsic stressed the heroic role of the Army of RBiH and the then Ministry of Interior in the defence of the country.
“Peace agreements were signed only after the RBiH Army would defeat the aggressor. In the end, we would not be allowed the ultimate victory,” Komsic emphasized.
He added on that occasion that all corps of the Army of RBiH are praiseworthy but he stressed the importance of the Fourth Corps, which fought against two enemies – from the Serbian and Croatian sides.
According to him, it is extremely important that the aggressor did not take over the arms factory in Konjic because had this happened, Komsic explained, the world would be watching the scenes from Ukraine in Bosnia, or even the events from Srebrenica across the country.
He pointed out that “even thirty years later, the attacks on the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina have not stopped, they are only being conducted by other means.”
