Bosnia’s Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic met Sunday with the Prime Minister's Special Representative for the Prevention of Sexual Violence in Conflicts and the United Kingdom's Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and the United Nations at the Office of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development by Lord (Tariq) Ahmad of Wimbledon, as part of his participation in the 21st Doha Forum.

At the meeting, the two noted that Bosnia and the United Kingdom have good and friendly relations, which are reflected in intensive political dialogue and substantial cooperation in many areas.

On that occasion, Minister Konakovic noted that the United Kingdom's support for reform and EU integration processes in Bosnia is extremely important and that BiH appreciates the UK's strong commitment when it comes to continuing to provide political, economic and security assistance and support to the country.

Lord Ahmad reiterated the unquestionable support of the United Kingdom to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to the reform process of the country on its way to the EU. He expressed gratitude for Bosnia’s support to the United Kingdom's “Call to Action” initiative, which was launched to ensure the rights and well-being of children born after sexual violence in the conflict.
