Kosovo President supports US' Rubio, condemns attacks on Bosnia's foundations

Osmani said Kosovo joins the US official's statement and stands in “full solidarity with the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reaffirming our unwavering support for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

She also emphasised the importance of American presence and support in the region.

“We also strongly condemn any action that undermines the foundations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as it threatens the peace and stability our region has worked tirelessly to achieve—through decades of sacrifice and with steadfast American support,” Osmani said.

"US engagement remains paramount in ensuring our region moves towards lasting stability and peace, as well as a Euro-Atlantic future. We are committed to working closely with the United States to achieve this goal,” she added.

Rubio spoke out late last week, warning that the actions of Milorad Dodik, the president of Bosnia's Serb-majority region, are undermining the institutions of BiH and threatening its security and stability.

His statement came as a reaction to latest actions of Dodik, who on March 5 signed decrees promulgating laws adopted by the Republika Srpska National Assembly. These laws prohibit the operation of key state judicial institutions, including the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH.

On March 7, the Constitutional Court of BiH issued a temporary measure halting the implementation of these laws.
