Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Friday asked QUINT ambassadors to revoke the European Union’s measures imposed on Pristina over unrest following the local elections in northern municipalities.
“I stressed that the EU measures on Kosovo must be lifted because the reasons for their imposition – paving the way for early elections in the north – have been resolved,” Kurti wrote in an X post after he met with the five ambassadors.

Radio TV Kosovo (RTK) quoted a government statement which said that the meeting was called to inform the ambassadors of current events in Kosovo and coordinate with them. “The Prime Minister said he expects progress towards (CoE) membership as a requirement to reinforce the rule of law and protect the human rights of all communities in Kosovo,” it said.
