Swimmer Lana Pudar was declared the best athlete for 2023 at the "Selection of Athlete of the Year" event, which was organized by the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday in Sarajevo.

“A very successful year is behind me and I am especially glad to say that I am maintaining a continuity in results. I would like to thank my family, my team, all the people and institutions that support me and a big thank you to the Olympic Committee because it is an institution that is always there for me and that I can always turn to. Thank you all for your support and I hope that next year we will celebrate successes and results as well”, said Lana Pudar in a short speech after accepting the award.

Olympic Committee President Izet Radjo addressed the audience on behalf of the Committee and spoke about the activities of the previous year. He pointed out that the BiH Olympic Committee is a harmonious umbrella sports organization in BiH. He praised the work of the employees of the BiH Olympic Committee, stressing that in terms of numbers, it is a much smaller team compared to the countries of the region, but with very significant successes and results.
