A large flag of the European Union can be seen on the building near Sarajevo’s landmark Eternal Flame in Sarajevo on the day when Bosnia and Herzegovina expects the European Council to grant it EU candidate status.
The flag was put up at one of the busiest locations in the center of the capital at the initiative of the City Administration and the Government of Sarajevo Canton (KS).
KS Prime Minister, Edin Forto, stressed the strong commitment and continued efforts of the Sarajevo Canton Government to reforms in accordance with modern European practices.
"The Sarajevo Canton has been the leader in numerous reform processes modeled based on European countries, and the long-awaited move in European integration will be an additional impetus and motivation to work even harder to ensure citizens,” Forto said.
