According to BiH general election research results done by the Faktor plus agency, which were submitted to N1 on Friday, and whose credibility was confirmed by the Belgrade agency itself, Jelena Trivic from the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) has an advantage over Milorad Dodik, the leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) by a little more than 2% in the run for the seat of Republika Srpska (RS) entity President. In contrast, Zeljka Cvijanovic (SNSD) has an even greater lead over Mirko Sarovic from the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) for BiH Presidency member.

According to the said survey, the SNSD is still the strongest party in Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity with around 27% support, second is the SDS with close to 18% and the third is the PDP with around 15%.

The survey was conducted on a sample of 3,000 adult RS citizens using the face-to-face method, anonymously, from September 5 to 15 this year.

When asked whether they would participate in the election on October 2nd, 53.6 percent of those surveyed said yes and 46.4 percent said no.

Regarding trust in political parties, the majority of citizens, according to Faktor Plus research, would vote for SNSD – 27.1 percent, then SDS – 17.9 percent, 15.1 would vote for PDP, 5.8 for United RS, 5.8 for Movement for the State 5.5, Democratic National Alliance (DNS) 2.9, Socialist Party (SP) 2.8, Demos 1.4, Socialist Party of Srpska (SPS) 1.3 percent. Nebojša Vukanovic's list for justice and order would win the vote of 1.2 percent of those polled, and the Croat coalition Banja Luka HDZ BiH – HDZ 1990 received one percent of support. According to this survey, the People’s Party of Srpska (NPS) received 0.8 percent.

Agency Faktor plus often conducts research for the party of Aleksandar Vucic, the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

This survey comes only a day after the pro-government media published the Metrics survey from Banja Luka, according to which these SNSD candidates are winning for other positions.
