"During the implementation of these activities, the freedom of movement within the Reception Center was temporarily restricted, and searches of individuals, belongings, and premises were carried out to locate persons illegally residing in the center, illegal weaponry, narcotics, and other items originating from criminal acts or that could be used to endanger the security of the center’s users and employees," SIPA stated.
SIPA officials added that during the execution of the searches of people and facilities, no dangerous means that could inflict injury on other users or employees were found, nor was any substance resembling narcotics discovered.
They also noted that throughout the operational activities, there was no resistance offered, no threat to the security of the participants in the action, and no use of coercive force by police officers.
"Police bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the competent prosecutor's offices and in cooperation with other domestic and international partner agencies, continue activities aimed at preventing and detecting criminal acts and improving the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina," SIPA concluded.
