Banja Luka Mayor Drasko Stanivukovic boasted on Monday of having the honour to be the first Mayor of this city to host an iftar, a meal with which Muslims break their day-long fast, for residents and representatives of the Islamic Community of this northern Bosnian city.
Stanivukovic said that it was a great honour for him to host the iftar. On that occasion, he also met with Mufti Nusret Abdibegovic from Banja Luka.
"In this way, we sent messages of coexistence, mutual respect, love and forgiveness," Stanivukovic wrote on his official Twitter profile.
