The media outlet Alternativna TV (ATV), which is since recently under US sanctions because it is allegedly connected to BiH tripartite Presidency member, Milorad Dodik, now has a new owner.

The US Department of the Treasury has expanded sanctions on Dodik and introduced sanctions on ATV on January 5.

The US OFEC said Alternativna TV is “privately owned by a company closely linked to Dodik's family” but that “Dodik himself exerts personal control over ATV behind the scenes, such as by requiring personal approval on media stories related to politically sensitive topics.”

Last year, the company “Prointer ITSS” completely took over the ownership ATV.

“Prointer” first bought a stake in ATV from “Integra Engineering” and “Grand Trade”, and then became the owner of the company “K-2” audio services, which also has a stake in ATV, writes Capital.ba.

However, this year brings new changes in the ownership structure. “Prointer” decided to transfer ATV to the company “Infinity Media”, as well as the company “K-2”.

“Infinity media” now owns 80 percent of ATV's capital, while “K-2” has 20 percent.

“Infinity media” is a daughter company of the “Infinity International Group”, which includes “Prointer ITSS” which is connected to the family of BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik.

Dodik previously confirmed that his son Igor is connected to “Prointer”.

“He is not the owner or an authorized person, but he is an associate of that company, he deals with new technologies, cooperates with foreign companies and has income from that,” Dodik said in 2019 in the National Assembly of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity.
