Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik’s legal defence stated in the proposal to transfer the conduct of proceedings in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the competent court in Banja Luka that the statements of domestic and foreign officials “pollute the atmosphere of the trial, violate the presumption of impartiality and violate the impartiality and independence of the Court” of BiH, which, according to them, are relevant reasons for transferring proceedings to another court. The proposal includes the statements of High Representative Christiana Schmidt published by numerous media in which Milorad Dodik is portrayed very negatively, SRNA news agency said.
The legal defence team cited excerpts from texts published by Al Jazeera Balkans, Radio Sarajevo, Radio Free Europe (RFE) and some Western media as evidence of bias against the RS President.
To prove the preliminary allegations regarding the appearance of the High Representative, the defence submitted the following publications as evidence:
