The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday appointed Minka Kreho as the acting President of the State Court, a day after Ranko Debevec was suspended from the position.
Council Vice President Aleksandra Obradovic briefly told media other two candidates Hilmo Vucinic and Jadranka Brenjo were also considered for the appointment, but it was anonymously decided that Kreho takes over the post with immediate effect.
Ranko Debevec was arrested earlier this week over the suspicion of abuse of office. On Wednesday, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council suspended him until the end of the investigation into the case that involves him.
