The remains of at least two victims of the past war were exhumed Friday in the east-Bosnian village of Susica, in the area of the municipality of Srebrenica.
According to the Missing Persons Institute, these are probably Bosniak victims, ie a married couple from Visegrad who disappeared in that area in 1993.
Institute spokesperson Emza Fazlic said the exhumation was completed in the late afternoon, given that it was in extremely inaccessible terrain.
An expert team for exhumations consisting of representatives of the Missing Persons Institute of BiH, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the Republika Srpska (RS) entity Ministry of the Interior, ICMP and the Tuzla Commemorative Centre had to walk more than two hours to the site.
The exhumation was carried out under the supervision of the BiH Prosecutor's Office and by order of the Court of BiH.
