The City of Mostar, Air Serbia and Mostar Airport signed a contract for an airline on the Mostar-Belgrade route on Friday in the Mostar City Hall. The line will be in operation from April 15, and tickets are already on sale.

Mostar Mayor Mario Kordic said that this means a lot not only for Mostar but also for the Herzegovina region. He stated that this was possible thanks to a great effort from all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“From April 15, Mostar will be connected to Munich, Rome, Belgrade and Zagreb. This means that we will be more or less connected to the whole world. Let's roll up our sleeves now. Construction works are also underway at the airport because we want to meet the number of passengers we expect,” said Kordic.

Bosko Rupic, Air Serbia’s director for commercial affairs and strategy, said that the flights will go on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.

“For us, this is a continuation of the expansion of traffic in the region. Mostar is the 17th destination in the territory of the former Yugoslavia that we fly to, we expect to have passengers here,” Rupic said.

Tickets are available for sale from nine o'clock Friday morning, and ticket prices are €56 one way and €104 for a return ticket with all taxes included.
