N1 reporters Haris Mrkonja and Semir Mustafic visited Bruce Lee's final resting place in Seattle, where admirers continue to leave flowers, fruit, bottles of water, coins and handwritten messages in tribute to one of the most influential figures in martial arts and cinema.

Located in Seattle's Lake View Cemetery, Bruce Lee's grave has become one of the city's most visited cultural landmarks, attracting fans throughout the year.

Although Bruce Lee died unexpectedly in Hong Kong in 1973 at the age of 32, he is buried in Seattle, the city he considered home.

Lee arrived in the United States in 1959 and settled in Seattle, where he studied, began teaching martial arts, met his future wife Linda, and started the journey that would eventually make him a global icon.

Following his death, his family chose to return his body to Seattle for burial, reflecting the city's importance in his life.

Just a few metres from Bruce Lee's grave lies that of his son, Brandon Lee, whose life also ended tragically.

Brandon Lee died on March 31, 1993, after being accidentally shot during the filming of The Crow. A prop gun that was supposed to fire blank ammunition discharged a projectile, fatally wounding the 28-year-old actor.

He was rushed to hospital, where doctors fought for hours to save his life, but he died from his injuries.

The similarities between the deaths of father and son fuelled conspiracy theories for years.

Bruce Lee officially died from cerebral edema, or swelling of the brain, after complaining of a severe headache and taking medication. Brandon Lee's death also sparked speculation about foul play, but subsequent investigations concluded it was a tragic accident and found no evidence of intentional wrongdoing.

Visitors continue to transform the graves into a living memorial.

Flowers are replaced almost daily, while fans often leave fruit, bottles of water, martial arts memorabilia, coins and personal messages thanking Lee for the inspiration he provided through his films and philosophy.

Engraved on Bruce Lee's memorial is a message that captures why so many people continue making the journey to Seattle:

"Your inspiration continues to guide us toward our personal liberation."

For many visitors, the cemetery has become less a tourist attraction than a place of reflection, where Lee's legacy as an actor, martial artist and philosopher continues to resonate more than half a century after his death.

Bruce Lee's influence extends far beyond the United States and Asia.

In the Bosnian city of Mostar stands one of the world's most unusual monuments dedicated to the martial arts legend. Unveiled in 2005 as a symbol of unity in the post-war city, the statue has become one of Mostar's best-known landmarks.

Although it was vandalised in the years following its installation, it has since been restored, serving as another reminder that Bruce Lee's legacy continues to connect people across cultures and continents.
