European Union's senior officials will hold urgent talks today with the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the ongoing migrant crisis in the country, learns N1.

One of the topics that will be discussed in the talks is the failure of Bosnian authorities to use the amount of three million Euros intended for the management of migrations.

N1 learns from the same source that the “weakest link” in the entire situation is the prime minister of the northwestern region Una-Sana Canton (USK), where the infamous Lipa camp is located.

The information comes hours after the session of Bosnia's Council of Ministers, which concluded that the Bira migrant camp, in the town of Bihac, be reopened.

Local authorities strongly object the reopening of the Bira camp, which closed down late September over, as the authorities in Bihac and the USK said, the security concerns.

European Commissioner for Migrations and Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, tweeted Thursday morning that she had a “clear and unambiguous” conversation with Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija, with whom she agreed the Bira camp should reopen “now”.
