After the world dog show held in the Czech city of Brno, the most beautiful Tornjak dog in the world, the two-year-old Sevdah, arrived at his home in Buzim whom the N1 team visited Tuesday.

Sevdah lives in the village of Zaradostovo in Buzim, along with 11 more dogs, three males Toro, Athos, Astor, and females Atina, Diva, Buna, Disa, Jana, Nela, Lora, Lara and Rosa.

“We took him to the first exhibition when he was eight months old. He was the youth champion, the champion of BiH, and he immediately proved that he was ready for such competitions which prompted us to register him,” said Mirsada Burzic, the owner of Sevdah.

Her husband Husnija said the feeling after the victory was indescribable.

“We believed in him, but we did not expect this. Preparations start at local competitions and then when you confirm that the dog is special and worthwhile, you move on. My wife prepared him, bathed him, we took him to Zagreb and then they prepared him a bit there as well. We work with him and all our other dogs 24 hours a day,” said Husnija Burzic.

Sevdah, who bears this special name (Sevdah is the name of the traditional Bosnian type of song which means love in Arabic) by his first owner from Zagreb, also has a sister Sabur who lives in Croatia with the owner, while his two brothers Srdo and Suko live in Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
