NATO HQ in Bosnia and Herzegovina is committed to peace and stability in the country, NATO Brigadier General Pamela McGah told BiH Presidency Chairman Zeljko Komsic Wednesday during a working meeting.

The two discussed the current political and security situation in BiH and at the international level in the context of the war in Ukraine, and the risks of escalating conflicts in BiH and other Western Balkan countries. The interlocutors welcomed Bosnia's cooperation with the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo and NATO member states and concluded that this cooperation must be even stronger in the future in order for BiH to meet all preconditions for full membership in the North Atlantic Alliance.

NATO Staff Commander Pamela McGaha reiterated NATO’s support for peace and stability in BiH and thanked for the continuous cooperation with the BiH Ministry of Defence and the BiH Armed Forces. She pointed out that NATO is committed to preserving security and protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
