The Commander of the NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, Brigadier General Eric Folkestad and the Head of the Office for Defence Cooperation of the American Embassy, Major Taib Grozdanic, presented a valuable donation to the Cantonal Hospital "Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić" in Bihac on Wednesday.

“I'm extremely pleased that NATO is able to support the staff of the hospital in Bihac, the staff who are on the front lines of the fight against COVID. When our members and partners ask for our help, NATO is there: it makes available all the resources and capabilities of 30 member states to help our friends solve problems and overcome security challenges,” said General Folkestad.

Major Grozdanic pointed out that this donation is one in a series of donations of humanitarian aid in the fight against COVID-19, which the United States, as a NATO ally, has been donating throughout BiH since the beginning of the pandemic.

Since the beginning of the crisis, the United States and NATO allies have donated tons of stockpiles in numerous aid donations in response to BiH's request to NATO's Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center.
