New British Ambassador Dawn McKen presents credentials in Sarajevo

"The British government is a long-term friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all its citizens. This relationship rests on mutual respect, practical support, and constructive advice," McKen stated, noting her commitment to fostering close ties amid global challenges.

With a career spanning over three decades of international diplomacy, McKen previously served as the UK ambassador to Montenegro and held senior postings across Europe and Asia, including Greece, Hungary, Russia, and Afghanistan. She stressed the vital importance of working alongside local political leaders, commercial enterprises, and civil society organisations to bolster economic security, expand bilateral trade, and drive institutional reform.

Reaffirming the United Kingdom's steadfast stance on regional stability, the ambassador pledged active cooperation with all levels of government.

"I commit to working together with you, with other members of the Presidency, and with all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in support of the sovereignty, stability, and security of all citizens of this wonderful country, and in advancing on the Euro-Atlantic path they have chosen," McKen affirmed.
