A year after the adoption of amendments to Bosnia’s Criminal Code that made denying the genocide in Srebrenica a criminal offence, despite the huge number of reports and frequent denials of this crime, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has not filed a single indictment.
For this reason, the High Representative in the country, Christian Schmidt invited German legal experts to train their Bosnian counterparts.
“A team of experts on the fight against extremism, terrorism, and hate speech led by the Bavarian Chief Prosecutor will provide training to BiH prosecutors on the processing of genocide denial cases. Together with the OHR legal team, today they met with BiH Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganic,” Office of the High Representative (OHR) tweeted.
