In Bosnia and Herzegovina, one baby is born every 96 minutes, while one person dies on average every 51 minutes, according the World Population Review platform.
According to the data calculated by the World Population Review, there is an average of 15 births and 18 deaths per day in the country. Data from 2005 indicate that Bosnia and Herzegovina has a negative population growth.
The platform uses UN data, according to which 3,232,161 people currently live in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Most of them live in the capital city of Sarajevo, followed by the city of Banja Luka, while Zenica is in third place.
Most of the population is middle-aged with an average of 43.3 years, with the average of women being older – 44.8. For men, the average age is 41.6 years.
When it comes to life expectancy, it was said that Bosnia and Herzegovina ranks well.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina has one of the highest rates of life expectancy, education and literacy in the region. Also, it is the third in terms of the growth rate of tourism in the world between 1995 and 2000,” according to the same source.
