The official opening of one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's largest shopping centres, the Doboj City Park retail park, took place on Thursday.
As announced during the event, this project represents an investment worth 60 million Bosnian marks (some €30 million). The centre hosts many stores featuring well-known brands and has created approximately 400 jobs.
The retail park, which spans over 50,000 square meters, primarily includes brands specializing in clothing, footwear, home, and garden supplies. It also features several dining establishments and other facilities.
The investor behind this project is the Bijeljina-based company “City Mall,” which already operates a shopping centre in Bijeljina and retail parks in Brcko and Zvornik. With the opening of the Doboj centre, the company is now setting its sights on constructing a large retail park in Istocno Sarajevo, according to BiznisInfo.ba.
The owners of “City Mall” Bijeljina are Dragan Stanojlovic and Milos Curcic. Stanojlovic is also the owner of the major sports equipment retail chain “Sport Vision.”
The Curcic family operates a diversified business across Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity and the Brčko District through their company “Sloboprom.”
“Sloboprom” independently owns several shopping centres and hotels in the RS and Brcko District. Moreover, it is a leading player in the wholesale and retail trade of home appliances and solid fuel stoves.
