Orasje among leading BiH cities in attracting EU funding

The cross-border cooperation project was implemented under the Support Programme for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina of Croatia's Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, with the aim of strengthening institutional, technical and organisational capacities and improving the living and business environment in the two areas, the City of Orasje said.

Iva Saric, a representative of the Vukovar-Srijem County Development Agency, told reporters that the project was designed to improve conditions both in Orasje and at the development agency, making services for businesses and the wider public more accessible and improving their ability to secure EU funding.

She added that a large portion of the funding from such projects is directed to the partner on the BiH side, in this case Orasje.

Franc Kljajic, Assistant Mayor for Development Management of the City of Orasje, said the total value of the project was around €50,000.
